Great to see some writing coming through book but I don't know where you get your ideas about the IRA and how that whole ireland area operated? Americans can really take the Joe rogan simplistic approach with a lot of global issues and live in soundbites, the idea that the IRA were communist leaning is a total reminder as iin fact they actually burned the communist party headquarters in Ireland and laid siege to it. Reminds me of the likes of English writers like Figgis or whatever that write books on the story of Russia etc when they can't grasp the situation or country at all. Anyway still enjoy the writing keep it up! Oh and did the Irish do something on you as I heard a few comments before probably on the livestream about ireland which were wide of the mark?

PIRA was overtly communist and made no mystery of their support. The US has admitted that CIA assisted with funding and weaponry specifically for the purpose of blocking out USSR. This is reported in both Dublin and Belfast. Sinn Fein is openly marxist.

Sinn fein is no more marxist than the British Conservatives.. No doubt elements of republicanism had socialist/communist leanings.... Communism never had a foothold as the vast majority of republicans were dyed in the wool religion leaning members who wouldn't have given two hoots about communist philosophy... As for the airport the south has a lot to achieve but at least it didn't name it's airport after an alcoholic women beater who threw away what was gifted to him... Pretty good metaphor for Ulster Unionists by unwilling to live with others and resulting in a complete failure

In fact, it was Engles that specifically singled out Ireland as fertile ground for communists. the idea of "United Ireland" is one of those political movement that never recieves scrutiny, like Rhodesia. 'Decolonization' is perfectly represented by bombings of Europa hotel. Furthermore, if Southern Ireland wanted to be taken seriously, it needs to improve it's dog shit airport. George Best Airport is the Best in the world.
